Last time, I had wished to say -- O Mother, grant me the strength to gift my wife a new sari, to clothe my child in fresh attire -- But the words never left my lips. Instead,within my heart I prayed O Slayer of Demons, do not falter in Your battle ! Yet even that remained unsaid. And when You arrived ,Mother, Your Presence filled me with such joy That I forgot everything else. Year's end, year's start, In every heart, joy takes part. New the year,new the hope On dreams anew,we gladly float. New the tune, new the life A  song  of joy, hearts inspire.
