No  one  loses in war --- Yet  love  is defeated. No  one  loses  in war ---- Yet  joy  is  defeated. No  one loses  in  war --- Yet smiling faces are defeated. No  one  loses  in  war ---- Yet  dreams  are  defeated. No  one  loses  in  war --- Yet  delight  is  defeated. No  one  loses  in  war --- Yet  generosity  is  defeated. No  one loses in war ---- Yet  tolerance is  defeated. No  one  loses  in  war ---- Yet  conscience  is  defeated. No  one  loses  in  war --- Yet...

Poem : A World Without War




Those
who  have  to  fight  wars
or
march  to   the   battlefield
don't   know  why  war  is  waged.
Yet
look  at  those  who   know   why,
they
sit  comfortably  in  cold   chambers,
keeping   their  minds calm,
and
occasionally  deliver speeches
mixing  warmth  with   reason.

If   those
whose   fingers   command  wars
had   to
step  onto   the   battlefield,
then  on   this   earth ,
not   a   single   war
would   ever   happen.

Last time, I had wished to say -- O Mother, grant me the strength to gift my wife a new sari, to clothe my child in fresh attire -- But the words never left my lips. Instead,within my heart I prayed O Slayer of Demons, do not falter in Your battle ! Yet even that remained unsaid. And when You arrived ,Mother, Your Presence filled me with such joy That I forgot everything else.
