Poem : I Love Shillong

I love Shillong, I love Shillong, And yes, I love Shillong. Even today I see your image In the canvas of my mind. I love you, Shillong I truly love you. I often think Did God Himself Paint your beauty On the hills ? Shillong, you look beautiful, You really look beautiful. Trees and greenery wrapped Around soothing hills ----- Like a land  from fairly tales. You look wonderful, Shillong,you look wonderful. The sun and clouds Play together all day long. Watching it all, My heart overflows With waves of joy. " Shillong,I love you" My heart whispers aloud. When Waterfalls, Come dancing down the mountains, Every joy within me Starts dancing like waves. Shillong, I love you. You are the jewel In the eyes of thousands of travelers. Even from afar, I still hear your call. And silently I say ----- I will come again, Shillong, I will come to you. Poem : Love Above All

God said, I gave you a head --- keep it cool. Inside the head I placed a brain ---- Keep it sharp. I gave you a pair of eyes ----- learn to see far. I gave you a nose, but don't  go poking it Into every matter ! All that the ears hear, don't always send it  via  nerves  to the brain. Some words you hear in the right ear --- let them pass out directly through the left. Don't lean only on your forehead and  leave your hands idle. Remember --- the skin you wear is human skin. I gave you a heart ----- So love.

Last time, I had wished to say -- O Mother, grant me the strength to gift my wife a new sari, to clothe my child in fresh attire -- But the words never left my lips. Instead,within my heart I prayed O Slayer of Demons, do not falter in Your battle ! Yet even that remained unsaid. And when You arrived ,Mother, Your Presence filled me with such joy That I forgot everything else.
