Holi means Lord Krishna, Holi means Radha dear, Holi means forgetting all divisions, Living as brothers, far and near. Holi means a heart dyed red, Holi means Vrindavan's cheer, In the waves of joy and celebration, India's hearts draw near. Holi means the fair of Dol, The festival of spring's embrance, All the dirt within the mind, Let it fall ------ leave not a trace. Holi means faces smeared with gulal, Holi means colorful dreams that rise, Holi means a youthful heart, It's very first love in disguise. Last time, I had wished to say -- O Mother, grant me the strength to gift my wife a new sari, to clothe my child in fresh attire -- But the words never left my lips. Instead,within my heart I prayed O Slayer of Demons, do not falter in Your battle ! Yet even that remained unsaid. And when You arrived ,Mother, Your Presence filled me with such joy That I forgot everything else.
