No  one  loses  in  war --- Yet  peace  is  defeated. No  one  loses  in  war --- Yet  happiness  is  defeated. No  one  loses  in  war --- Yet  hope  is  defeated. No  one  loses in war --- Yet  love  is defeated. No  one  loses  in war ---- Yet  joy  is  defeated. No  one loses  in  war --- Yet smiling faces are defeated. No  one  loses  in  war ---- Yet  dreams  are  defeated. No  one  loses  in  war --- Yet  delight  is  defeated. No  one  loses  in  war --- Yet  generosity  is  defeated. I am a kangaroo,I leap far and wide,
Australia is my land,my joy and pride.

I am a kangaroo,the Forest's pride,
A symbol of unique life far and wide.

I am a kangaroo,I always move ahead,
I never turn backward --- forward I tread.

I am a kangaroo,I conquer fear,
On rugged paths I persevere.

I am a kangaroo,affection is my shield,
Inmy pouch my child is safely scaled.

I am a kangaroo, strength flows in my blood,
I guard my young with a mother's love.

Last time, I had wished to say -- O Mother, grant me the strength to gift my wife a new sari, to clothe my child in fresh attire -- But the words never left my lips. Instead,within my heart I prayed O Slayer of Demons, do not falter in Your battle ! Yet even that remained unsaid. And when You arrived ,Mother, Your Presence filled me with such joy That I forgot everything else.
