When the earth breaks,
Tsunami waves come rushing in.

When a nation breaks,
The river water turns red.

When a party breaks,
Excuses begin to rise.

When a home breaks,
The heart burns in fire.

When sleep breaks,
The eyes begin to dream.

When dreams break,
Everything is lost.

Last time, I had wished to say -- O Mother, grant me the strength to gift my wife a new sari, to clothe my child in fresh attire -- But the words never left my lips. Instead,within my heart I prayed O Slayer of Demons, do not falter in Your battle ! Yet even that remained unsaid. And when You arrived ,Mother, Your Presence filled me with such joy That I forgot everything else.
