Poem : When Dreams Want to Touch the Sky




When dreams want to touch the sky,
The ladder of greed reaches out to you.
Feelings  drown  in  confusion.

When dreams want to touch the sky,
The story of the earthen wall is lost.
Mischief builds a nest in the heart.

When dreams want to touch the sky,
The boat does not float on emotion.
Emotions  drift into cold sleep.

Last time, I had wished to say -- O Mother, grant me the strength to gift my wife a new sari, to clothe my child in fresh attire -- But the words never left my lips. Instead,within my heart I prayed O Slayer of Demons, do not falter in Your battle ! Yet even that remained unsaid. And when You arrived ,Mother, Your Presence filled me with such joy That I forgot everything else.
