Poem : The Language of Eyes




There are eyes within the eyes,
And faces within the face.
The heart can't grasp the language of lips,
Nor  does it leave a trace.

Within words, there lies a deeper word,
Yet the ears don't hear it all.
It's the language of eyes the heart 
Understands ------------
Humming  a  silent  call.

Last time, I had wished to say -- O Mother, grant me the strength to gift my wife a new sari, to clothe my child in fresh attire -- But the words never left my lips. Instead,within my heart I prayed O Slayer of Demons, do not falter in Your battle ! Yet even that remained unsaid. And when You arrived ,Mother, Your Presence filled me with such joy That I forgot everything else.
