No one wins in war, In war, what wins in anguish. No one wins in war, In war,what wins is poverty. No one wins in war , In war , what wins is cruelty. No one wins in war, In war,what wins is pollution. No one wins in war, In war,what wins is death. Poetry : A Moment with Blood.

( This is the english version of my bengali poetry ' Rokter Sathe Kichukhon')






Blood says that I live in the body in peace.
And going from one body to another
To save life is my happiness.
My haemoglobin starts to dance in joy.
My chest swells with pride.
I am the Creator of life vibrancy.
And I feel sad
When I am forced to bleed.
I don't want to take life.
I want to give life.

Last time, I had wished to say -- O Mother, grant me the strength to gift my wife a new sari, to clothe my child in fresh attire -- But the words never left my lips. Instead,within my heart I prayed O Slayer of Demons, do not falter in Your battle ! Yet even that remained unsaid. And when You arrived ,Mother, Your Presence filled me with such joy That I forgot everything else.
